Step into more than two centuries of courage, service, and community history.

The Niagara Military Heritage Centre is dedicated to preserving, interpreting, and sharing the remarkable history of one of the oldest militia regiments in Upper Canada. Established in 1794, the regiment began as two separate militia units before amalgamating just prior to the First World War, forming what is known today as the Lincoln and Welland Regiment.

Unlike many military museums, our story is still unfolding. Because the regiment remains active, visitors experience a unique timeline that stretches from early militia days to modern military service. Each exhibit represents real people, real service, and real sacrifices spanning more than two centuries.
